World's Longest Yard Sale 2011 items up for sale now

Last Saturday, my wife & I made our annual trek to the World's Longest Yard Sale which traverses US Highway 127 from Michigan down into Georgia or Alabama (can't remember which).  We usually start over in northern Kentucky at Mainstrasses in Covington and then head south.  We generally only go about 40 to 50 miles and then call it a day, looking for things for us, the kids or for me to resell.

Without further ado, here's what I've found and have listed in my store.

Cookbooks

I found a number of interesting cookbooks this year, all vintage, anywhere from 1943 up to the early 60's.

Searchlight Recipe Book from Household Magazine, 1943
Pillsbury Baking 100 Prize Winning Recipes, 1950 (2nd Grand National)
Pillsbury Baking 100 Grand National Recipes , 1955 (6th Grand National)
Family Fare, Food Management & Recipes, 1960 USDA publication
Vernor's Recipes, circa 1960 pamphlet for Ginger Ale recipes

Fun & Games

I picked up a few nice game items too.

Amtrak Playing Cards, 2 packs, never used (one pack is still sealed, the other's packaging came undone after I bought them.
Charles Goren AutoBridge Play Yourself Bridge game, 1950
Hondy II, The Red Book of Social Recreation, 4th Edition, 1932 with various games & puzzles for parties, the high time of the 1930's.

Beer Mugs & Steins

I found a nice beer mug at one place and have just posted a couple of German ones last week.

Oldenberg Brewery beer mug, Ft. Mitchell, KY 1993 Commemorative Edition
Dinkelacker Biere Aus Stuttgart beer stein, pre-unification, West Germany, 1.5 l
Henninger Brau Frankfurt-Main beer stein, pre-unification, West Germany, 1.5 l
Zinzinnati Oktoberfest 1994 mug, Cincinnati's annual fest.

Finally, I picked up another song sheet, this one from 1950 of the classic Christmas tune, "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" written by Jimmy Boyd, sung by Tommie Connor.  Suitable for framing & would make a great Christmas decoration, I think.

Again, check out both of my stores for some great finds.
