Cincinnati Reds, National League Central Division 2010 Champions!

The Cincinnati Reds clinched their first division championship last night with an exciting game ending home run from Jay Bruce.  For those wanting to celebrate all things Reds, I have a number of items in my store, in the Baseball Emporium.

First off, we have six packs of this year's 2010 Cincinnati Reds baseball cards, handed out at a game earlier this season.  They are new and unopened.

Harking back to earlier days, I have a couple of Ken Griffey items, the 8 X 10 photo the Reds gave out commemorating Griffey's 600th home run (3 of those left), as well as the smaller 5 X 7 photo showing Griffey hitting the 600th home run on June 9, 2008. in Miami (4 of those).

In honor of the late Joe Nuxhall, the beloved Reds broadcaster, I have two different items.  The first is the replica statue of the one outside Great American Ball Park given out at a Reds game a few years ago.  The other is two Reds magnets; one with the classic Mr. Redlegs over their Wishbone C and the other, a circular Nuxy magnet.

Finally, while he's also no longer with the club, I have an Austin Kearns bobblehead, as well as a Tom Browning "Mr. Perfect" bobblehead.  Likewise I have three 8 X 10 matted photos of Reds pitcher Bronson Arroyo.

More Elvis! Official Elvis Presley Ornament Collection 1992

Last year I wrote a blog about an Elvis Presley sign I have for sale.  Nice item and it's still available, but today driving back to my office, I noticed an estate sale here in the neighborhood.  I stopped just to see what they had.  I found a nice boxed set of Elvis Presley ornaments.  The box states "The Official Elvis Presley 1992 Christmas Ornament Collection" and shows "E.P.E. c. 1992".  Inside are three of the thin brass (bronze?) style oraments of "The King".

I haven't listed the set yet as I want to do some research on them first.  Usually I'll do some searches on various sites and you find a number of the same thing and then I can set a price.  Surprisingly, I'm not finding this set listed anywhere.  The only one that comes up for 1992 Elvis ornaments is the Hallmark one and they seem to be a dime a dozen.  I'll update this post when I list them for sale.  In the meantime, if anyone has any interest, let me know.

World's Longest Yard Sale finds, Daniel Llords caricature

I picked up an interesting item today at the World's Longest Yard Sale.  It's a caricature of the late Daniel Llords, a renowned puppeteer who died in Hillsboro, Ohio last year.  The caricature was done in 1948 and is signed by "Pamela" (with the quotes) and I can't decipher the last name.  It's a wonderful piece.  If anyone knows who the caricaturist is, let me know.

Here's some pictures of the piece and a close up of the signature and the comments written in the drawing.  Likewise, what I bought included a photo, allegedly of Mr. Llords.

You Can Buy From Me!

The company I purchase my domain names through is celebrating their 10th anniversary. As a bonus to their users they were making available free domain names to the first customers who got a code for them. I was able to secure one yesterday and decided to get a name that worked with the extension from Montenegro, .me. So for now, the domain http://youcanbuyfrom.me is mine and I have it pointing to my TSC Sales store, but may set up a web site with my other site too (http://silverscreenbooks.com/).

We'll see if that helps drive some sales, which have been anemic to say the least. So remember, youcanbuyfrom.me!
